In 1967, at the request of Ogawa,Serizawa made 300 sets of sange( paper lotus flowers offered to the Buddha). They are stencil-dyed paper, with original designs. \n　Serizawa's works are wide-ranging, including many with Buddhist themes, such as Honen Syonin Eden（\"The Illustrated Life ofSaint Honen\"）(1941), Gokuraku Kara Kita Sashie-Syu（\"Illustrations for the Book, He Came from Paradise\"）(1961), Syougonkazarinuno（\"Hangings for the Altar of Chion-in Temple\"）(1974), and Judai Desi Sonzou（\"Portraits of the Ten Disciples of theBuddha\"）(1982). However, Serizawa's sange have been largely unknown. \n　Serizawa made sange for four different temples: Muryoko-ji in Akashi, Gekko-ji in Osaka, Chion-in in Kyoto, and Genryu-in inUeno, Tokyo. Some were made as commemorative gifts and some were used for decoration. Their colorful designs amuse the eyes. Serizawa also kept a booklet in which he pasted sange that he had colored.
