Genza( 1842-1930) was known as a person who, while uneducated, lived a life of pure faith. We call such a person \"Myokonin.\" The picture book is based on the original \"Myokonin Inaba no Genza,\" a book edited by Yanagi Soetsu and Kinugasa Issei and first published in 1950. Twenty-six episodes involving Genza were taken from the original and featured in the picture book.
